Eddy Current Testing
A non-destructive testing (NDT) method that uses electromagnetic induction to detect surface and near-surface defects in conductive materials, widely used for tube and pipe inspection.
ECT for Pipe Inspection
Eddy current testing is an electromagnetic NDT technique. An alternating current coil generates eddy currents in the test material. Defects disrupt the eddy current flow, producing measurable impedance changes.
Capabilities
- Detects cracks as small as 0.2mm depth
- Testing speed up to 60 m/min
- Surface and near-surface defects
- Multi-frequency for different defect types
