Stainless Steel 347 Seamless Pipes & Tubes

SS 347 (UNS S34700) is a niobium (columbium)-stabilized austenitic stainless steel providing superior resistance to intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures. Preferred over 321 where intermittent heating is involved, as niobium provides more reliable stabilization than titanium.

VS
SS 347 vs SS 321: 347 uses Nb stabilization (better for thermal cycling); 321 uses Ti.
VS
SS 347 vs SS 304 / 304L: 347 is stabilized for high-temp; 304 is for general purpose.
VS
SS 347 vs SS 310S: 310S for higher temperatures (>900C); 347 better for cycling.
