Stainless Steel 304H Seamless Pipes & Tubes

SS 304H (UNS S30409) is the high-carbon version of 304, with carbon controlled to 0.04-0.10%. This higher carbon content provides significantly improved creep strength and rupture properties at temperatures between 425-816C, making it the preferred grade for boiler, superheater, and heat exchanger applications in power generation and petrochemical industries.

VS
SS 304H vs SS 304 / 304L: 304H has higher carbon (0.04-0.10%) for superior creep strength; 304 for general purpose.
VS
SS 304H vs SS 321: 321 is Ti-stabilized for high-temp; 304H relies on higher carbon for creep strength.
VS
SS 304H vs SS 316H: 316H adds molybdenum for chloride resistance; 304H is more economical.

Applicable Standards
