Alloy 825

Alloy 825 Overview

Alloy 825 (UNS N08825, Incoloy 825) is a versatile nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed for use in aggressive chemical environments. Its balanced composition provides resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and localized attack.

Composition

  • Nickel: 38-46%
  • Iron: 22% min (balance)
  • Chromium: 19.5-23.5%
  • Molybdenum: 2.5-3.5%
  • Copper: 1.5-3.0%
  • Titanium: 0.6-1.2%

Applications

Chemical processing, pollution control, oil & gas (sour gas service), nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment.
