Bright Annealing
A heat treatment process performed in a controlled hydrogen or nitrogen atmosphere to prevent oxidation, producing a bright, oxide-free surface finish on stainless steel tubes.
Bright Annealing
Bright annealing (BA) is performed in a protective atmosphere furnace, typically using hydrogen (H2) or a hydrogen-nitrogen mix (dissociated ammonia). The absence of oxygen prevents scale formation, resulting in a mirror-like surface.
Surface Finish
- Ra value: typically 0.2-0.4 micrometers
- Appearance: Mirror-like, highly reflective
- No pickling required after treatment
